Meinert

Established by Martin Meinert, the man involved in the creation of some of South Africa's finest wines of the past two decades, comes this special and personal family project. Devon Crest Vineyard- an apt name for an estate sitting on the south-facing ridge of the Devon Valley with distant views of False Bay - is a more decorative title than the one the vineyard had when the Meinerts bought it in 1987: Remainder of Farm 78, Division of Stellenbosch. This is traditionally red wine country, expressed through wines such as Synchronicity's blend of Cabernet, Merlot and bush-vine Pinotage, so it might come as a surprise to find a white Merlot, called ‚The Italian Job', among their impressive selection.
