Established in 1989 by Thierry Villard as Chile’s first family premium boutique wine company, Villard are consistently recognised as one of the best producers in the Casablanca Valley. Enotria is proud to now represent their portfolio of premium whites, expressive Pinot Noir and structured Mediterranean varieties, all crafted with meticulous care and an eye toward gastronomic pairing.

Founded in 1989 by Thierry Villard, Villard Fine Wines holds the distinction of being one of Chile’s first family-run premium boutique wineries. Thierry’s journey, from France to Switzerland and England, on to Australia and finally to Chile, shaped not only his worldly outlook but his passion for fine wine and expression of cooler-climate terroirs.
Drawing on decades of international wine industry experience, Thierry identified the Casablanca Valley’s cool Pacific-influenced climate as uniquely suited to produce vibrant whites and delicate reds, varieties that were, at the time, virtually unheard of in Chile’s broader wine landscape.

Today, the estate’s ethos continues under the next generation, led by Thierry’s son Jean-Charles (Charlie) Villard, whose viticultural and winemaking expertise has introduced innovative techniques that elevate both structure and finesse in Villard wines. Like his father, Charlie has also travelled widely, doing vintages in Australia, France, Italy and South Africa to gain experience and inspiration. Today, he works alongside winemaker Anamaria Pacheco, using careful vineyard selection, handcrafted vinification and thoughtful blending to create boutique wines.
Nestled just north of Leyda it benefits from the Pacific coast and the Cordillera mountains, giving the Casablanca Valley a unique micro-climate thanks to the cooling influence of the Humboldt Current, yielding morning fog, low temperatures and extended growing seasons. These conditions preserve bright acidity, expressive aromatics and concentrated fruit, particularly in Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir - the backbone of Villard’s range.
Villard’s vineyards thrive on a mosaic of soils and microclimates, allowing the team to tailor viticultural practices that accentuate purity and balance in each varietal. This cool-climate nuance comes through distinctly in vibrant, refined wines that are very food friendly.
Villard brings compelling diversity and regional storytelling to any wine list, whilst offering wines that show a fresh expression of Chilean terroir, with styles that work excellently with a wide variety of cuisine and food pairings:
