Tasting note
Full-bodied yet fresh, this is a fine example of a Douro red, packed with wild berries, plums and baking spices, powerful without being heavy.

Viticulture
The grapes come from two different parts of the Douro Valley: the Cima Corgo and the Douro Superior. Each grape variety is planted separately and hand-harvested. 25 year old vines. East-South-West-North aspect at 130-450m. Vinha ao alto (rows of vines planted up and down the slope) and patamares (terraces) with one and two rows of vines.

Excellent when paired with red meats and rich sauces.
