Tasting note
This Brouilly offers a vibrant and precise profile, combining crisp red fruits, delicate floral notes and a beautiful minerality derived from its blue stone soils.
Vineyard
Famille Chermette, a familial winery nestled in the picturesque Pierres Dorées region of Southern Beaujolais, is helmed by Jean-Etienne Chermette, with support from Martine and Pierre-Marie Chermette. Together, they craft a diverse range of red, rosé, and white Beaujolais wines. Renowned for their commitment to quality, the estate predominantly harvests grapes from old vines, including those used for Beaujolais Nouveaux.
Viticulture
30 year old vines on granitic scree following the erosion of Mount Brouilly, of dark colour and some blue. Sustainable agriculture with HVE3 Certification, Gobelet pruning. Manual harvest at 50 hL/Ha.
Vinification
Traditional Beaujolais vinification with whole bunch: half-carbonic with two pumping per day, maceration 10 to 12 days in vats with indigenous yeasts. Aged 5 to 8 months in old oak tuns “foudres”.
