Tasting note
From one of the Beaujolais region's loveliest villages, Fleurie, this is a gloriously ripe and perfumed wine that oozes cherry, chocolate and raspberry and finishes with a spicy flourish.
Viticulture
Fleurie is produced from 800 hectares surrounding the village of the same name, ranking just after Brouilly and Morgon among Beaujolais crus, with about 45,000 hl produced annually. Its granite soils, rich in large crystals, provide minimal topsoil, forcing vines to root deep into the rock and yielding wines of refined delicacy and perfume.
Vinification
Our cuvée always played a high quality selection of harvesting, strict monitoring of maturation and the modernization of the winemaking facilities which provide a traditional fermentation. Ageing in tank and bottled during the month of March.
Food Match
Pork chops within curried apple-onion sauce; blackened fish fillets steaks with tomatoes and green sauce or rack of lamb with redcurrant wine sauce.
