Tasting note
Originally created in 1920 to suit the English taste for drier wines, this is suitable bone-dry with phenomenal flavours of apples, pears, herbs and a hint of smoke.
Viticulture
From 100% Pinot Noir vines in the Alta Langhe region of northwest Italy. Under organic conversion.
Vinification
Only free-run juice is used (the absolute finest juice, extracted without any pressure). The wine is aged on its lees for 50 months before disgorging with no added sugar (dosage).
Food Match
A versatile food wine, perfect for aperitif, appetizers and white meat dishes. Try it with poached eggs and truffles for a decadent 'champagne' breakfast.
