Tasting note
Rich and inviting, with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum and dried cranberry, layered with notes of sweet spice, cocoa and a hint of tobacco. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with velvety tannins, vibrant acidity and a long finish of dark fruit, chocolate and savoury herbs.
Viticulture
The grapes are sourced from hillside vineyards in the Valpolicella Classica zone, where limestone-rich soils, warm sunny days and cool evening breezes encourage slow, even ripening. Careful vineyard management and low yields produce fruit with excellent concentration, freshness and balanced natural acidity.
Vinification
Produced using the traditional Ripasso method, fresh Valpolicella wine is refermented on the dried Amarone grape skins, adding depth, colour and complexity. The wine is then matured in oak casks before bottle ageing, creating a rich texture, refined tannins and beautifully integrated spice.
Food Match
Earthy cuisine, game, roasted meats and aged cheeses.
