Tasting note
Aromas of fresh cherry, strawberry and a touch of nutmeg. The tannins are silky and supported by the fresh raspberry, cranberry and vanilla flavours.
Viticulture
The fruit was sourced from a number of vineyards across the Yarra Valley. 2021 was one of the best vintages Rob has seen in his 30 years working in the Yarra Valley. The ripening conditions were near perfect.
Vinification
Destemmed and crush with a small portion of whole bunch. Hand plunged in 5 tonne open pots. The wine was aged in seasoned French hogsheads for 9 months prior to bottling.
