Tasting note
Aromas of green apple and grapefruit, alongside herbal notes. The palate is tangy and crisp, with a zippy touch of spritz that is so classic to white Vinho Verde wines. Dry and naturally light in alcohol, this is consummately refreshing, and a splendid palate-cleanser for a plate of shellfish.
Viticulture
From vines planted on granitic soils, mostly using single cordon (known in Portugal as cordão simples) with some pruned using the Silvóz training system. Planted at a density of 1,670 vines per hectare. Harvesting is by hand.
Vinification
The grapes pressed at low pressure to retain delicate aromatics of the fruit. Fermentation is in stainless tanks with temperature control ( 12 to 14ºC) over three weeks.
