Tasting note
Dry, light white from the Furmint grape, which is better known for sweet wines, this has a fine, mild acidity, a scattering of walnuts and almonds and scents of mint and honey.
Viticulture
From Furmint grown on the volcanic soils of Tokaj. Patricius owns 85 hectares of vines across 8 vineyards, most of which are farmed organically.
Vinification
100% stainless steel fermentation with neutral yeasts to express the pure character of the Furmint grape. Minimal intervention with gravity flow instead of using mechanical pumps.
Food Match
Master Sommelier Isa Bal MS has paired this wine with seafood tempura served with a lightly spiced dip and with soft goats cheese. Who are we to disagree? This also works beautifully with roast chicken and turkey.
