Floral sparkling pink wine from Sussex, perfumed and pretty, with blackcurrants and red fruits bursting on the tongue.
Viticulture
The 2016 growing season saw cooler early temperatures, leading to dry, even flowering in June and July. Despite some August rain, early advancement allowed gradual ripening and fine berry flavours.
Vinification
1086 is a result of the meticulous process of harvesting and fermenting each vineyard parcel separately. With over 90 distinct parcels, we nurture and develop their nuanced flavours to craft the ultimate estate expression. Hand-selected from our finest estate-grown wines, it matures on lees for a minimum of five years using the traditional method.
