Viticulture
France is one of the world’s leading wine-growing nations, rooted in the concept of terroir. Terroir describes how soil, climate, viticulture, and the vintner’s skill shape a grape’s flavour, aroma, and colour, creating an unmatched diversity of wines across the country.
Vinification
The winemaking process is done carefully in order to preserve aroma. The grapes are harvested at night to avoid oxidation. After harvest, they are immediately pressed and only the best juices are selected to craft the wine. Once the juices have settled, they are fermented at a temperature of 15°C before the wine is aged on its fine lees.
