Tasting note
Aromas of blueberries, currants, dried cherries and vanilla pod; soft-textured with tangy acidity and a lip-smacking finish.
Vinification
Fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperature with around 10 days’ maceration; malolactic fermentation follows immediately, then 6 months’ maturation in steel and 1 month in bottle.
Food Match
The most fitting pairings are Tuscan and tomato-based dishes, grilled meats, cured meats, and aged cheeses. Chianti’s acidity also makes it a good match for pasta with ragù, pizza, and roast meat.
