Tasting note
Bright medium ruby. Delicate and expressive, with aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant and sour cherry, lifted by subtle floral and earthy nuances. The palate is fresh, juicy and finely textured, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Light on its feet yet beautifully balanced, finishing clean, savoury and elegant. A refined, contemporary Pinot Nero defined by freshness, finesse and understated Alpine character.
Viticulture
Pinot Nero is grown on both traditional pergola-trained vines and more recently planted vertical espalier-trellised vines. The Schreckbichl/Girlan vineyards lie on west-facing slopes at 420–450 metres, with morainal soils rich in clay and eroded porphyry. The cool Alpine climate favours slow, balanced ripening, preserving freshness, fine tannins and elegant.
Vinification
Carefully selected Pinot Nero grapes undergo gentle crushing and temperature-controlled fermentation, followed by a short maceration to preserve freshness and delicate fruit. The wine is matured to develop finesse and balance, with careful handling throughout to retain its bright aromatics, silky texture and elegant character.
Food Match
