Tasting note
Chapel Down Tenterden Estate Bacchus from the excellent 2020 vintage has a delicately floral character with aromas of ripe citrus fruit. The palate is tropical in style with flavours of papaya and melon which lead to the well-balanced finish.
Viticulture
Fruit is sourced exclusively from our Tenterden vineyard which is home to our oldest Bacchus vines; producing the lowest yields but finest fruit.
Vinification
Whole-bunch pressing of this fruit and only using the best fraction of the juice maintains the pirity in style which is characteristic of this terroir.
Food Match
A great match with pork belly or pair with a wide variety of seafood dishes. An ideal alternative to new world Sauvignon Blanc.
