Tasting note
Deep dark ruby with a violet rim. Notes of black and sour cherries, berries, spices and dried fruit. The palate is creamy with soft tannins and integrated oak. A lighter, fruitier and younger version of Bertani’s icon Amarone Classico.

Viticulture
80% Corvina Veronese and 20% Rondinella. The vines are vertical-trellised and Guyot-trained, with a planting density of 5000 plants/ha. The Valpantena hills, north of Verona. The soils are calcareous-marl in the east and calcareous-clay in the west, rich in iron.
Vinification
Made by drying hand-harvested Corvina and Rondinella grapes on trays for up to 120 days to concentrate their sugars and flavours before the wine is aged for two years in large oak casks.
Food Match
This is a “traditional Amarone for today” perfect for enjoying young or matching with modern cuisine. Excellent with duck.
