Tasting note
With a citrus green color, Aveleda Loureiro reveals all its aromatic splendor through floral and citrus notes. In the mouth, it is an elegant and harmonious wine, which reveals an extraordinary freshness and flavor with notes of lemon, lime and white flowers, typical of the variety, which blend in a crisp and striking finish.
Viticulture
2022 was an excellent year for the Vinho Verde wine region. Our grape production increased around 50% compared to the previous year. Considering the grapes purchased and our own production, around 15 thousand tons were processed. After a very dry year, the precipitation at the end of maturation helped the vines to recover from water stress. Daily maturation
Vinification
Made from Vinho Verde’s most expressive grape, this monovarietal comes from a unique viticulture model that enhances aroma and sugar concentration. Night harvesting preserves freshness, while gentle low-pressure pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation maintain the grapes’ aromatic character.
Food Match
The Loureiro's aromatic intensity and slight sweetness can counterbalance the heat from spicy foods, making it a great match for dishes with a kick.The wine's crisp acidity and citrus notes will complement the freshness of raw vegetables and salads.
