Aglianico

Southern Italy’s answer to Nebbiolo, Aglianico is one of Italy’s boldest reds, known for its deep color, firm tannins, and striking acidity. Black cherries, plum, and iron-rich earth form its core, wrapped in muscular tannins that demand patience. In Taurasi, it ages into haunting complexity—dried rose, leather, and dark chocolate weaving through its firm, smoky frame. Even in youth, its acidity keeps it vibrant, making it one of Italy’s most noble yet challenging grapes.
