Tasting note
Bright ruby colour. Aromas of red cherries, violets, rosemary, vanilla and cedar. Very pronounced in the palate with great suppleness and a long finish.

94/100 - There is a smoky iodine touch reminiscent of mussels to the blackberries and dark cherries. Notes of dark chocolate, dried violets, graphite, licorice and a touch of orange peel. Full-bodied and tight, with lots of fine tannins and stacks of juicy black fruit. Long and caressing. Drink or hold.
93/100 - The 2020 El Puntido comes from the vineyard that names the wine and is 25 hectares at 600 meters above sea level. It is worked without herbicides or systemic products. The wine fermented in 2,000-liter oak vats and matured in new French oak barrels for 15 months, followed by another six months in tank before it was bottled. It's ripe and a little oaky, with a modern profile and a little more development in this warmer year. It has incisive tannins and a dry finish. Better with powerful food. Drink 2024-2032.

100% Tempranillo, sourced exclusively from El Puntido vineyard, which was planted in 1975. Traditional fermentation, berries 100% de-stemmed, with malolactic conversion taking place in barrel. Aged for 18 months in new French oak Bordelaise barrels.
