Tasting note
Representing the essence of Ribeiro's historic Avia Valley, Meín Castes Brancas is full of fresh, green aromas of lemongrass, kiwi and fennel fronds, and is tangy, lean, focused and long. After exposure to air for a little while, a rounder generous mouthfeel develops, with gorgeous, peach fruit, so typical of the Treixadura grape.
Vinification
Different varieties were harvested at their optimum ripeness into 12 kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes were selected and then pressed and vinified, plot by plot. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks of different sizes and foudres. Aged separately for 10 months, before blending of the different plots and varieties, and bottling.
