Tasting note
Lively red fruit with a hint of pepper on the nose. A supple and velvety palate, accompanied by berry fruit aromas make this medium-weight wine easy to drink and ideal for summer drinking.
Viticulture
The Dubard family has crafted wine in Bergerac since the late 1970s. Their vines thrive on sunny, south-southwest facing calcareous-clay hillsides, with optimized trellising to maximize grape maturation. Committed to integrated farming, they protect the terroir's identity and environment while ensuring excellent crop health and final quality.
Vinification
After destemming and crushing, grapes are cold-soaked at 15°C in stainless steel tanks to extract flavour. A cool, 14-day fermentation at 26°C follows, featuring daily pumpovers. This short maceration preserves fresh fruit aromas and supple tannins. Once complete, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, aging, and blending in stainless steel.
Food Match
This Pinot Noir can be matched well with roast poultry, barbecues, summer lunches and many cheeses. This is an early-drinking wine.
