Tasting note
Inky purple colour, and ripe yet refined notes of violets, black cherries, vanilla and cream. Silky-soft in texture, smooth, rounded, velvety tannins and fresh, balancing acidity, it expresses succulent cherry and strawberry flavours, with attractive suggestions of dark chocolate and cherry leaf.
In the press
95/100 - The blackberry, black olive, spice and black pepper aromas really draw you in. Purple flowers too. Full-bodied but tight and compact, with chewy tannins that are fine grained and dynamic. Old-vine malbec planted in 1945 and ungrafted in the area of Vista Flores.

Wine made manually with grapes harvested from ancient Vista Flores vineyards.
Vinification
The premium vineyard area of Vista Flores, whose 1,000m altitude with low rainfall, high sunlight, cool nights, extended growing season and low soil fertility produces red wines of both intensity and elegance. From old, ungrafted vines, planted in 1945, this handcrafted Malbec was made entirely without machinery. Aged 9 months in French oak.
