Tasting note
A great value cabernet from Chile's central valley. Idealic growing conditions ensure optimal ripenes and great fruit character with nuances of bell pepper and spice as you'd expect from the variety.
Viticulture
Viña Tarapacá was founded in 1874 and is one of Chile's oldest wineries. The wines are the result of our commitment to protecting the biodiversity of their vineyard, located in a natural enclosure in the heart of Chile's prestigious Maipo Valley. This biodiversity gives Tarapaca wines unparalleled quality.
Vinification
Fermentation took place over a period of 7 to 10 days in stainless steel tanks, maintaining a temperature of up to 26°C. Daily pump-overs were then performed to facilitate the extraction of tannins and anthocyanins. 60% of the wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Food Match
Lamb and herb sausages with chargrilled vegetables.
