Tasting note
Between Sancerre and Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc in style, this strikes a balance between brisk, zesty freshness and generous fruitiness. It's lean and refreshing, while having satisfying mid-palate texture.
Vinification
Sauvignon Blanc clones 316D, 316A, 317A and 7A, grown on Bokkeveld Shale and vertical hedge-trained. After picking, the grapes were gently de-stemmed, cooled to 5°C, pressed and the must clarified overnight before fermentation at 14°C. Lees-aged for six months before a light fining and bottling.
