Tasting note
With a deep purple-red colour, the Kankana Syrah displays remarkable elegance on the nose, with subtle hints of white pepper, black olives and charcuterie, intermingled with mineral notes reniniscent of crushed graphite. The wine is balanced and harmonious on the palate, with perfectly-proportioned acidity and velvety tannins.
Vinification
100% Syrah, cultivated on the banks of the Elqui river, selected from the “Solar no.10” vineyard plot. Strong coastal winds reach the vineyard directly from the ocean, and blow between the east-west-oriented vine rows, drying the humidity brought by the morning coastal fog known as camanchaca.
Food Match
