Tasting note
Aromas of white peach, ripe stone fruit and fresh lime lead into a palate laced with wet stone minerality and a lively, refreshing acidity. This Chenin Blanc is precise yet expressive, offering both vibrancy and depth, with a long clean finish.
Viticulture
Sourced from old dryland bushvines, these Chenin Blanc vineyards are meticulously maintained with healthy canopies. The open goblet shape of the vines promotes ideal air circulation, reducing disease risk and aiding in optimal ripening. As dryland sites, quality is closely tied to rainfall, making the abundant winter water of 2024 particularly beneficial.
Vinification
The grapes were 100% whole-bunch pressed before undergoing natural settling. Fermentation took place in a combination of amphora and barrels, adding texture and complexity while preserving the wine’s varietal expression. The wine matured for 10 months.
