Tasting note
An inviting bouquet of dried herbs, plum and cassis leads into a palate with layered tannins and well-balanced structure. The finish is long and refined, leaving an elegant impression.
Viticulture
Franschhoek’s 2024 vintage followed a cool, wet winter that built strong water reserves. Warm, dry, windy summer conditions kept disease pressure low, though January irrigation was vital. Lower yields produced concentrated, pure, balanced fruit, ideal for structured, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification
The fruit was destemmed and kept as whole berries to preserve integrity and enhance purity of fruit expression. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with gentle punch-downs three times daily for balanced extraction. Post-fermentation, the wine was pressed and matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, with 30% matured in new wood.
