Tasting note
An exotic, alluring Syrah from Sicily, full of sweet spice, black fruit, chocolate, leather and nuts; like being enveloped in purple velvet.
Viticulture
Syrah vines are planted at an altitude of 415 metres above sea level with a cordon spur vertical trellis system of training. Density of planting is 5000 vines per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested from Planeta's Dispensa and Gurra vineyards. They were fermented on the skins in stainless steel fermenters, then aged in American (1/4) and Allier (3/4) oak barrels.
