Rich red blend from California, ripe plums jostling with boysenberries and cherries, with a beguiling perfume of crème de cassis and vanilla.
Viticulture
Orin Swift sourced Petite Sirah from carefully chosen Californian vineyards with soils and climates that tame its natural power. Well-drained, nutrient-balanced soils and sites with warm days and cool nights allow the grape to develop complexity and balance, producing wines that are structured yet elegant for the Machete blend.
Vinification
The wine was aged for 10 months in seasoned French Oak of which 40% was new oak.
