Tasting note
Fruity South African Chardonnay, complex and rich, flavoured with melon, tropical fruit and a dollop of butterscotch, offset by refreshing, juicy citrus notes.
Viticulture
Sourced from two vineyards in the Agter-Paarl region.
Vinification
Grapes are hand harvested at full ripeness. After pressing and settling, the must is inoculated with South African yeast. 15% of the wine is fermented in small American oak barrels; the remaining wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation the wine is placed in stainless steel tanks, lying on the lees for 5 months with regular stirring.
