Tasting note
Fragrant and floral-driven, offering bright notes of fresh red cherries, red currants and raspberry compote, complemented by subtle accents of violets and delicate baking spices. Rich, succulent and open on the palate, balancing vibrant red berry fruit with a fine limestone minerality. Silky tannins and lively, refreshing acidity lead into a long, harmonious and persistent finish.
Vineyard
Vines planted in 1985 at a density of 10,000 vines per ha. South facing with a 1.5% slope at an altitude of 235m on clay and limestone soil. Les Grands Poisots is a single vineyard in the Village Volnay appelations which boaders Pommard

Farmed using minimal intervention
Vinification
Hand harvested, fermentation using native yeasts. Aged in French Oak barrels.
Food Match
Pairs excellently with red meat, beef, pork and lamb but also can be served with chicken and turkey
