Tasting note
Delicious, round and well-balanced, with beautiful aromas of white stone fruit and toasted hazelnut from well-judged oak ageing.
Viticulture
Vines planted in 2004 at 10,000 plants per ha. Southeast facing vineyard with a 2% slope on clay and limestone soil. A single vineyard in the village Santenay appelation. Santenay is one villages furthest to the South in the Cote d'Or and Les Charmes Dessus is the most southernly vineayrd in the village.
Vinification
The gently pressed for an extended period, then settled for 2 days and finally barreled by gravity in 600-litre barrels.
