Tasting note
Pinot Noir from California's Russian River, fragrant with lavender, followed by a mouthful of black cherry, boysenberry and pomegranate.
Viticulture
Cool googy climate matched by sandy laom and gravelly clay loam make this vineyard ideal fro growing cool climate varieties.
Vinification
Grapes are hand-picked and then cold soaked for two days to enhance extraction of colour. Free juice is then separated from the press and allowed to settle prior to malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for eight months in French and American oak barrels (of which 25% new and 75% old).
