Tasting note
Fresh yet complex white from the Loire, breathy with spring flowers and fresh mint, with snappy flavours of capsicum and pea.
Viticulture
Produced by Lionel Gosseaume from his family run estate in the heart of the Touraine district. This delicious Sauvignon has impressive fruit concentration and power from low yielding vines.
Vinification
From the classic department of Touraine in the Loire Region. This small estate has a series of rolling hills made up of clay, stone and chalk soils. The grapes show a delightful mineral character and in quality compares very favourably with the neighbouring Sancerre district. Fermented in stainless steel tanks. No oak ageing.
Food Match
Fantastic on its own but ideally suited to shellfish/grilled fish, fresh salads, asparagus, goats cheese and smoked Duck.
