Tasting note
Lovely glossy ruby in colour. On the nose, the wine displays dark red fruits, red plum and blackberry, with hints of dried leaves. This is a very approachable wine, with a smooth palate and silky tannins. Great structure, with a balanced acidity and an elegant finish.
Vineyard
This specific Malbec benefits from a sunny Mediterranean climate and diverse soils, ideal for ripening. These conditions produce expressive wines with deep color, ripe blackberry and plum notes, and a touch of spice. The warm climate softens Malbec’s tannins, resulting in smooth, generous wines with good structure and a rich, fruit-forward profile.
Viticulture
Conventional viticulture, HVE 3.
Vinification
Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. After destemming, they macerate for 15 days at 26–28°C in small stainless-steel tanks. Skins are pushed down during fermentation (“pigeage”). The wine is aged 5 months in steel, with a small part in French oak to add complexity and silky tannins.
Food Match
Enjoy this Malbec at room temperature, with melted blue cheese, pork fried noodles or chili con carne.
