Tasting note
Southern French Malbec, packed with ripe plums and blackberries and perfumed with violets and a hint of smoke.
Vineyard
Malbec originally comes from the South of France. To craft this original Malbec, our winemakers selected some of the coolest Pays d’Oc vineyards. These highly-adapted terroirs, located on high slopes, are influenced by the Pyrenean mountains and Atlantic Ocean. Growing season in this area is very long, leading to an exceptional aromatic persistence of fruit.
Viticulture
The fruits is grown in the coolest, most westerly region of the Languedoc, Limoux provides perfect growing conditions for Malbec with long, warm summer days for optimal fruit ripeness and tannin and cooler spells for fantastic acid development.
Vinification
Maceration in rotating stainless steel Vinimatic tanks to extract maximum colour, aromas and flavour. Traditional fermentation for around 2 weeks in stainless steel tanks at 25-28 degrees. Pure fruit character - no oak treatment.
Food Match
Enjoy with herb crusted, grilled game meat
