Tasting note
A soft juicy approachable red with cool plummy and dark berry fruit. The tannin is soft and well balances against a ripe core of fruit with just enough freshness. An approachable wine great for any occasion.
Viticulture
The vineyards are located close to the historic medieval city of Carcassonne on gently sloping, South West facing hills. Laid to vine there are just over 400 hectares all under the careful watch of LGI one of France's largest and most reliable cooperatives.
Vinification
La Place wines are crafted exclusively for Enotria Winecellars from vineyards across southwest and southern France. Each December, our buyers select and blend the finest parcels to create modern, fruit-forward wines made with the latest techniques—vibrant, approachable, and designed for immediate enjoyment.
Food Match
This very accessible juicy Merlot would be ideal with lamb, Turkey or Country ham and would complement herbed or cream sauces. Lemon zest and caper dressings would also work well.
