Floral, attractive Pouilly-Fuissé, perfumed with almonds and refreshed by a spritz of lemon.
Viticulture
The vineyards of Pouilly and Fuissé cover the slopes of Solutré and Vergisson, renowned cliffs in a striking landscape. Jurassic clay-limestone soils, 8,500 vines per hectare, Guyot pruning and deliberately low yields help express the terroir’s full nuance.
Vinification
Very slow pressing so as to respect the fruit. Juices from the last pressings are not retained. No artificial yeasts or enzymes are used. The wine is aged partly in stainless steel vats and partly in older oak barrels between 6 to 8 months.
