Tasting note
Wonderful vibrant aromas of red cherry, blueberry and violets layered in with vanilla, cinnamon and earthy notes of tobacco leaf and leather. The palate offers a core of acidity framed by satin-like tannins that envelope the palate, contributing to the wine’s full body. The finish unravels to conclude on coffee and tobacco leaf that lingers wonderfully long after.
Vinification
Ferment conducted in stainless steel vats. Wine aged for circa 12 months in French oak Barrique, of which approx. 30% is new.
Food Match
Bring on the richest of cuisines, venison, hearty cote de boeuf or Chateaubriand. Give it umami-rich mushroom based dishes.
