Tasting note
Deep ruby to dark garnet with youthful intensity. Rich and inviting, featuring ripe blackberry, dark cherry and plum from Shiraz, complemented by earthy spice, dried herbs and subtle gamey notes from Mourvèdre. Grenache adds red berry lift, warmth and gentle floral hints.
Viticulture
All vineyards are located in Swartland wine region. Grapes were harvested from dry land vineyards. Good canopy mangement are practised and performed during the year.
Vinification
Handharvested grapes were hand sorted and de-stemmed. All 2 cultivars were seperatly fermented in stainless steel tanks. Pump overs were done 2 times a day for colour extractions. Post fermentation the 3 cultivars were blended before bottling.
