Tasting note

Shows an intense red color with purple hints. An intense bouquet of Patagonic berries such as cassis, raspeberries and prunes combine with hints of mint on the nose. On the palate, the lush fruit continues, with sweet tannins and a velvety yet ageworthy structure.

Vineyard

Located at 39.2º south latutide, Humberto Canale's vineyards are in the Upper Valley of the Rio Negro, the most prestigious of Patagonia's wine regions. Of alluvial origin, these soils were formed five million years ago from the effect of the glaciers that dominated much of the Patagonian region.

Viticulture

With a significant flow year-round and a total length of 550 kilometers to its mouth at the Atlantic Ocean, the Río Negro carries remarkably pure water with a neutral pH and no salts or sodium, and is used to provide irrigation is gravity-fed, using canals and ditches

Food Match

Partner with lamb, or rich stews to balance the fruit and structure of the wine. Also a good foil for hard, aged cheese such as parmesan.
