Tasting note
Vibrant aromas of cherry, raspberry and plum with subtle touches of vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, silky tannins and excellent acid balance are joined by delicate flavours of red cherry and raspberry, culminating with notes of earthiness on a long and lingering finish.
Viticulture
Spring ushered in moderate temperatures and minimal frost events, greatly reducing the risk of early bud damage. The summer, however, was marked by record-breaking heat, which led to smaller berries and clusters and an accelerated ripening period. While this resulted in a reduced crop size and yield, it also produced brilliantly concentrated flavours.
