Gusano Rojo is produced from maguey plant called "Agave Espadin" as well known as "Plant of Wonders" Being the most ancient and gennuine Mexican destilled product, Mezcal from the aztec word Mexcalli which means cooked maguey is used as a ritual drink and was described by Hernan Cortez as the "Nectar of the Gods".
