Tasting note
Bright ruby red in colour, with an elegant and expressive nose of ripe red berries, black cherry and candied orange peel, beautifully complemented by hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The palate is fresh and refined, revealing silky, vibrant tannins, subtle balsamic nuances and delicate notes of leather and toasted oak. Harmonious and beautifully balanced, it finishes long and persistent, with lingering spice and a touch of savoury complexity.
Unique Selling Point
First production in the 19th century thanks to the Frescobaldi Ancestor Leonia degli Albizzi.
Viticulture
Pinot Nero is cultivated in the cool, elevated vineyards of Pomino, where altitude and significant day–night temperature variations promote slow ripening, preserving natural acidity, delicate aromas and varietal elegance.
Vinification
Carefully selected grapes undergo controlled fermentation to preserve fresh fruit character and aromatic finesse. Oak ageing adds subtle spice, texture and complexity while maintaining the wine’s characteristic freshness and silky structure.
