Tasting note
Aromas: Vanilla, clove, blue fruits. Flavors: Plum, black pepper, tobacco. Structure: Firm tannin, medium body, medium acid.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and crushed, fermenting the must on the skins to extract deep colour, flavour, and tannin, and subsequently aging the wine in French and American oak barrels to build complexity and smooth out the tannins.
Food Match
It pairs wonderfully with grilled or roasted red meats, such as a prime ribeye steak or herb-crusted lamb chops.
