Tasting note
Sparkling Trebbiano from Abruzzo in central Italy, enjoyably perfumed with almonds and white flowers, with flavours of honey and roasted hazelnut. The palate shows a bright acid backbone, well-integrated fizz and a touch of sweetness that brings notes of flowers and stone fruits to the fore. The wine is naturally hazy, part of the charm.
Viticulture
Organic Viticulture used for this vineyard. Vines are trained in the Guyot system. The vineyard is manually harvested.
Vinification
The Trebbiano grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks until the must still has nearly 20gr/l residual sugar. The wine is then bottled where the fermentation finishes, with a touch of residual sugar. It is un-fined and unfiltered, naturally hazy.
Food Match
Perfect with sharingplatters and tapas. Cheese and charcuterie boards. Also a great pairing for Mexican food, especially tacos!
