Tasting note
Ruby red with violet hues, offering aromas of black cherry, blackberry and ripe plum, with hints of liquorice and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is juicy and approachable, with lively acidity, soft tannins and generous dark-fruit flavours. A fresh, savoury finish highlights its natural, easy-drinking character.
Viticulture
Produced from organically cultivated Montepulciano grapes in Abruzzo, near Atri. Clay-rich soils with limestone contribute freshness and structure. Vineyard management follows sustainable organic principles, avoiding synthetic herbicides and chemical fertilisers. Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected to preserve fruit quality.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks, with approximately seven days of skin maceration to extract colour and aroma while maintaining supple tannins. Gentle pressing is followed by ageing in stainless steel, preserving the wine’s vibrant fruit, freshness and approachable structure without oak influence.
Food Match
Match with smoky sausage on wood fired pizza.
