Tasting note
Inviting aromas of black cherry, cassis, and tobacco leaf lead to a palate of impressive depth and structure. Ripe, well-integrated tannins provide a solid framework for the concentrated fruit, culminating in a full, lingering finish. A poised and expressive Cabernet that balances power with elegance.
Viticulture
Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from select vineyards across Franschhoek, each expressing unique terroir. North-facing sites bring dark fruit, earthy depth and tobacco notes, while cooler south-facing slopes add red fruit, structure and fresh acidity creating a balanced, layered wine.
Vinification
The grapes were destemmed and kept as whole berries to preserve fresh fruit characte before fermentation in stainless steel tanks with three punch-downs per day for optimal extraction. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was gently pressed and transferred to oak barrels, 20% of which were new, for 12 months.
