Tasting note
A wonderfully expressive, soft-textured, organic Tempranillo. It has a juicy palate, serving up lashings of mulberry, pomegranate and blackberry fruit, elevated by a fragrant sprinkling of baking spice.
Viticulture
A gem from Elias Lopez, these vineyards are organically farmed and planted on ancient soils in the Tomelloso subregion of Castilla la Mancha. These vines are trained on trellis to allow adequete air flow and sunlight to develop prefectly ripened fruit.
Vinification
Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to preserve freshness. Bottled soon after malolactic conversion is complete to champion varietal character. Gentle extraction to ensure softness of tannin.
Food Match
This is a wine full of personality and well paired with duck, an array of cheeses, mushrooms, and spiced vegetarian legume dishes.
