Tasting note
Munay, meaning love in Quechua, lives up to its name. It has a vibrant garnet hue, brimming with energy. The nose is expressive and fruit-forward, with ripe strawberries and fresh raspberries. On the palate, it’s approachable and smooth, opening with a gentle sweetness that evolves into a clean, dry finish. Fresh, balanced, and effortlessly drinkable.
Viticulture
Known for its stunning red rock formations, high-altitude Cafayate Valley has an extreme desert climate, poor soils, warm days/ cool nights and very little rainfall makes it easy to practice integrated, sustainable and organic viticulture. Further, the wide thermal amplitude allows grapes to become highly concentrated, resulting in smooth, delicious wines.
Vinification
18 hours of pre-fermentative cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation of 25 days with a controlled temperature between 13 and 15 degrees C. No malolactic fermentation.
Food Match
Light salads, grilled vegetables, seafood, salmon, tuna. Charcurterie boards, fresh cheeses and some spicy dishes.
